About Us
Listening and responding to our community
The first step in meeting community health needs is "taking the pulse"of the community to discover what local and health-related issues are most important. To that end, Children's uses both formal and informal methods to listen and learn. Taking into consideration that a wide-range of community needs and health issues need to be tackled, the hospital assesses the information gathered to develop a community benefits action plan. Children's focuses its plan on how the hospital's clinical expertise and resources can be most effectively utilized and leveraged to address the most pressing needs of children and reduce gaps in current services and programs.
