Which foods and ingredients must a shellfish-allergic person watch out for?
Avoid foods with any of the following ingredients:
- Abalone
- Clam (including cherrystone, littleneck, pismo and quahog)
- Crab
- Crawfish, crayfish, ecrivesse and crawdads.
- Lobster, langouste, langousine, scampo, coral and tomalley
- Musselcs
- Oysters
- Scallops
- Mollusks
- Shrimps, prawns and crevett
- Cockles, periwinkles and sea urchins
