What causes subglottic stenosis?
Subglottic stenosis may be congenital (present at birth) or acquired.
What risks are associated with subglottic stenosis?
Narrowing in this area can produce:
- respiratory distress
- poor weight gain
- cyanotic episodes (blue spells)
- recurrent lung infections
