Research & Innovation

Children’s Hospital Boston's Center for Pediatric Sleep Disorders was established in 1978 as the first comprehensive center devoted to evaluating and treating sleep disorders in children. Our sleep specialists have developed many of the techniques for treating children’s sleep that are now more broadly used.

Today, our sleep laboratories continue to improve our ability to understand and treat children’s sleeping problems. We use advanced methods and sleep-monitoring technologies to study your child’s sleep, which allow us to noninvasively diagnose even subtle forms of sleep disorders and help us identify the best treatment for your child.

Of course, when it comes to performing sleep studies on children, there’s more at stake than technology and data: We never forget that your child is a child, and not just a patient. We are one of the few sleep labs dedicated to evaluating children. Every aspect of what we do is designed specifically for kids, and we work constantly to help you and your child feel at ease throughout testing.
