Your visit to Boston Children's
Here at the Boston Children's Heart Center, we recognize that every patient (and heart) with a congenital cardiac defect is unique.
We will work with you to develop a customized treatment plan that meets your particular needs, and we'll be here to guide you through the decision-making process. We walk every step of the way with families—before, during and after medical and surgical treatments.
We acknowledge family members as a vital component of the care team and welcome them on the patient care units. When away from the units, family members may call any time to speak with a nurse.
We also offer a variety of parent-to-parent and patient-to-patient mentoring programs, and every patient’s care plan incorporates educational resources and mental and emotional health support, too.
