Research Overview
Dr. Hennelly research has focused on evaluation and management of oropharyngeal trauma and she is currently studying pulmonary embolism evaluation and management in the ED. Dr. Hennelly also has performed several decision analysis studies, comparing risks and benefits for management strategies for various clinical scenarios including oropharyngeal trauma and traumatic brain injury, specifically evaluating radiation risks.
About Kara Hennelly
Kara Hennelly received her MD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and moved to the Saint Louis Children’s Hospital to complete her pediatric residency in 2005. Dr. Hennelly went on to join the faculty of Children’s Hospital Boston after completing her clinical fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
