Child and Adult Hip Preservation Program

Internationally recognized hip care

Dr. Kim and patient The dedicated team of specialists at the Boston Children’s Hospital Orthopedic Center’s Child and Adult Hip Preservation Program works at the forefront of clinical research and innovation to provide world-class treatment throughout each patient's entire lifetime.

Our experts lead the way in caring for both common and complex hip disorders. The team has done more peri-acetabular osteotomy (PAO) hip dysplasia surgeries than any other hospital in the country, and is committed to advancing minimally invasive approaches for treating hip disorders. In collaboration with Boston Children’s Department of Radiology, we have also developed more precise ways of imaging that lead to more accurate diagnoses for patients.

Watch a video to learn more about how we care for children and adults with hip disorders, and read about a patient who had two PAO hip dysplasia surgeries.
