He is a member of the Accreditation Council for Pediatric Neurosurgical Fellowships.

Dr. Scott established the Shillito Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship, which supports exceptional young neurosurgeons in pursuing intensive clinical training and scientific research opportunities. Nearly all of its graduates have gone on to major leadership roles at children's hospitals across the U.S.
