The Adolescent Substance Abuse Program
As a recognized leader in the diagnosis and management of adolescent substance use disorders, ASAP has hosted trainees and visitors from around the world, including China, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, New Zealand and Singapore. Our team consists of rotating trainees in child psychiatry, adolescent medicine, addiction medicine and addiction psychiatry, all of whom bring their unique perspective to our multi-disciplinary team conferences.
Our staff has also been awarded a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to train pediatricians and design a national curriculum on identifying and managing adolescent substance use in the medical setting.
