Bone Health Program
PQCT Scanner
The Bone Health Program at Boston Children's Hospital has recently acquired a research PQCT (Peripheral Quantitative Computed Tomography) scanner, an innovative machine that measures bone strength and quality, including bone mineral density. The procedure is painless and usually takes 3 - 5 minutes to complete.
We would like to thank The Children's Hospital League for their continued support and partnership with the Bone Health Program and for generously providing us with the funds to purchase the PQCT scanner. The scanner will allow us to conduct important research studies on bone health.
