Fellowship for Nurse Practitioners

Pediatric Palliative Care Fellowship

PACT offers a full-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Fellowship. The position will provide opportunities to gain knowledge and experience collaborating with colleagues in the hospital and community to provide comprehensive compassionate care to children and families.

PACT is an interdisciplinary team dedicated to improving symptoms and quality of life in children with advanced illness, and their families. The team, which includes physicians, an advanced practice nurse and social workers, provides services at the hospital, in the outpatient setting, and in the community.

The fellow will function as part of the core interdisciplinary team and will be responsible for consultation with patients, family members and other medical providers. He or she will learn from interdisciplinary experts in the field of pediatric palliative care at Dana-Farber/Children's Hospital Cancer Center through formal and informal educational opportunities.

This is an opportunity to work with one of the first pediatric palliative care teams in the country and to be part of a unique, interdisciplinary fellowship training, along with physician and social work fellows. This fellowship is a 12-month salaried position.

Applications will be accepted through Children’s Hospital Boston. Applicants must have a Masters from an accredited school of nursing and must obtain a Massachusetts license before beginning the fellowship.
