The Pediatric CF Program provides comprehensive care including evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for children (newborn to age 18) with cystic fibrosis.

Care Teams

The Pediatric CF Program provides personalized care and support to our patients and families through a team approach. The Pediatric Team cares for our pediatric patients (ages 18 and under).

Our Services

The Pediatric CF Program provides comprehensive care, including:

• Diagnostic testing such as:
  • sweat tests 
  • genetic tests
  • throat cultures
  • sputum cultures
  • blood work
  • chest x-rays
     
• Pulmonary function tests to see how well your lungs are working
• Bronchoscopy to examine your child’s throat, larynx, trachea and lower airways
   
• Close monitoring of nutritional status
   
• Emotional support and counseling services
   
• Patient and family education regarding such things as nutrition, avoiding infections, and caring for your child at home
   
• Training in airway clearance techniques and exercise regimens
   
• Access to patient and family support groups and CF community organizations
   
• Adult transition management
