Division of Developmental Medicine

In addition to providing first class medical care to children and families, the Division of Developmental Medicine is home to a growing and innovative research enterprise. For the first time, science is catching up with the hopes and needs of patients and families, and we aim to facilitate research that will have a positive impact on the lives of children with developmental issues. Our goal is to develop new tools to diagnose and treat children with developmental and behavioral challenges at the earliest possible age.    These advances will deliver a brighter future to children with developmental disabilities—not just here at Boston Children’s Hospital but everywhere.

Our research initiatives encompass a wide range studies for children of all ages, from infancy through adolescence. There are many opportunities for families to participate.
