Our compassionate care team includes hematologists with extensive expertise in the treatment of white blood cell disorders.
Matthew M. Heeney, MD
Heeney has worked at the Dana-Farber/Children’s Hospital Cancer Center since 2002 and specializes in non-malignant hematology, including sickle cell disease, inherited iron disorder and other anemias. He is director of the Hematology Clinical Program and Sickle Cell Program and is also an associate professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.
Ellis Neufeld, MD, PhD
Neufeld is a pediatric hematologist and associate chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology. He is also the director of the Thalassemia Program and a professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He has expertise in the treatment of bleeding and clotting disorders including ITP, thalassemia and thrombosis.
