- Ceiling mounted, retractable Siemens 1.5-Tesla Symphony (MR/OR) operating room unit for neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery
MR at the North (Peabody) satellite clinic:
- Siemens 3-Tesla (3T) Verio
MRs at the Waltham satellite clinic:
- 1.5-Tesla Siemens Avanto
- Siemens 3-Tesla TIM TRIO
- MR simulator that helps children participating in research studies adjust to the MR unit before undergoing a real scan; this unit is also used when possible to see if 4- to 6-year-old patients will be able to stay motionless for an exam without being sedated
Video goggles/music headphones
We provide special video goggles for patients who would like to watch a movie while undergoing their MR scan. Prefer to listen to music? Bring your own iPod.
