Clinical Program

Diagnostic Audiology Program

Application process

Applicants should submit their Letter of Intent, curriculum vitae, undergraduate and graduate transcripts (official or unofficial), and 3 letters of recommendation to:

Brian J. Fligor, Sc.D.
Director of Diagnostic Audiology
LO-367,
300 Longwood Ave
Boston, MA 02115

It is recommended that at least one of the letters of recommendation be from an audiologist who supervised a pediatric placement and can speak to your relative strengths in this area.

Application deadline

Applications will be accepted beginning October 1 of the year prior to the start of externship. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled, but typically applications should be received no later than mid-November.

Applicants that pass initial review for requirements will have a telephone interview. Following telephone interview, a select group will be invited for in-person interview at Boston Children's Hospital. This typically occurs in December and can be timed to coordinate with winter breaks. Unfortunately at this time, the Audiology Program cannot provide travel support to applicants.

It is expected that all extern positions will be filled by January 1 in advance of a May start.
