  • Photo: Eugene J. D'Angelo, PhD, is director of Children's Psychosocial Treatment Clinic; director of Psychiatry Outpatient Services; and chief of the hospital?s Division of PsychologyEugene J. D'Angelo, PhD, is director of Children's Psychosocial Treatment Clinic; director of Psychiatry Outpatient Services; and chief of the hospital’s Division of Psychology. His research interests are in clinical treatment outcomes and serious emotional disorders in youth. D'Angelo is currently involved in a multi-site study of parents with depression whose children are showing symptoms. He is an associate professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Molly A. Benson, PhD, is a psychologist who specializes in approaching children's mental health problems within the context of a child's family, school, neighborhood and culture. She also works with children and adolescents suffering from traumatic stress after living through war and other crises. She is an instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Christie Blake, RN, MSN, CS, is a clinical nurse specialist in our Psychopharmacology Clinic.
     
  • Ariel Botta, LICSW, is director of Group Therapy at Children's. She provides psychotherapeutic services to children and adolescents of all ages and is active in teaching and consultation efforts throughout the Department of Psychiatry.
     
  • Elisa T. Bronfman, PhD, has been a staff psychologist at Children's since 1998. She co-leads a weekly seminar for psychology interns, focusing on supporting children who are coping with medical illnesses in conjunction with our Behavioral Medicine Clinic. She is also a specialist in collaborative problem solving, play therapy, dealing with teasing and bullying and addressing attachment issues. Bronfman's research focuses primarily on infant-parent attachment. She is an instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Marcus F. Cherry, PhD, is a psychologist who supervises and teaches predoctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows in psychology. He has a particular focus on trauma and crisis intervention, multicultural competence, medically ill children and the practice of individual and group psychotherapy. Cherry has been at Children's since 2002 and is an instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Jessica Henderson Daniel, PhD, ABPP, is Children's director of training in Psychology and a clinical psychologist who sees both children and adolescents. Her areas of expertise include mental health support for physically ill children and examining the impact of race, ethnicity and gender on psychological treatment. Daniel is an associate professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Tanya Diver, PhD, is a neuropsychologist with a particular focus on the impact of brain tumors on child functioning. She is an instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Katherine Ginnis, LICSW, is coordinator of Children's Emergency Psychiatry Service and a social worker who helps children and families impacted by depression, anxiety and other mental health disorders, as well as suicidal ideation.
     
  • Stuart J. Goldman, MD, is a psychiatrist with expertise in treating depression, bipolar disorder and teen suicide. He is also an assistant professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Joseph Gonzalez-Heydrich, MD, is chief of the Psychopharmacology Clinic at Children's. He specializes in managing complex behavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders, and is an assistant professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Colleen Hayden, LICSW, is a social worker who counsels patients who are recovering from severe trauma, including sexual abuse.
     
  • Roberta S. Isberg, MD, is a psychiatrist who practices dialectical behavior therapy, a school of treatment that incorporates elements of “mindfulness” from Buddhist meditation into more standard psychotherapy. She is an assistant professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Frances Johnson, APRN, BC, is a clinical nurse specialist in our Psychopharmacology Clinic.
     
  • Beth Kemler, PhD, LICSW, is a senior clinical social worker in Psychiatry, specializing in parent-child management of behavioral issues, family adaptation to chronic illness and bereavement and anxiety disorders. She is an instructor at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Sergio Korndorfer, MD, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist in our Psychopharmacology Clinic. He is also an instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Roxana Llerena-Quinn, PhD, is a psychologist who works with Latino patients and families in the Psychosocial Treatment Clinic. She has helped create a preventive intervention program for Latino children and families considered to be at risk for depression, and is inspired by their “strengths and capacity to overcome adversity." Llerena-Quinn is also an instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Lauren Mednick, PhD, is a psychologist who works with medically ill children in the hospital’s Behavioral Medicine Clinic. She is also an instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Kaizad Munshi, MD, MPH, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who works in our Psychopharmacology Clinic. He is also an instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Jennifer Turek Queally, PhD, is a neuropsychologist who works with children, adolescents and families confronting depression, anxiety, stress and other mental health problems tied to a neurological or other medical issue. She specializes in treating patients with brain tumors and spina bifida. Queally is also an instructor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Celiane Rey-Casserly, PhD, is director of Children's Neuropsychology Program. She has expertise in neuro-oncological disorders, particularly brain tumors; professional psychology education and training; and neuropsychological services for Latino patients and families. She is an assistant professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
     
  • Rachel Shapiro, LICSW, is a social worker who counsels Latino patients and families through the Psychosocial Treatment Clinic. A member of the hospital’s Department of Psychiatry since 1984, Shapiro has been instrumental in helping to create a depression prevention program for Latino children and families.
     
  • Elizabeth Wharff, PhD, MSW, LICSW, is director of Children's Emergency Psychiatry Service, chief of Social Work in the Department of Psychiatry and director of our Social Work Training Program. She has a particular research and clinical focus on depressive disorders, and is an instructor at Harvard Medical School.
