Medical Social Work Team

The Medical Social Work team consists of licensed social workers and a Resource Specialist who are embedded in each of the medical departments at the Martha Eliot Health Center.  The social workers and the Resource Specialist work in collaboration with the medical providers to address the psychosocial needs of patients and families. The social worker can offer a range of interventions which may include crisis intervention, advocacy, brief mental health interventions, psycho-education, and referrals to resources and community services.
