Neurogenetics Core

The Neurogenetics Program, led by Elizabeth Engle, MD, has developed a new core to provide a neurological disease database and bio-specimen bank for translational research, and to provide clinically and/or genetically defined patients for outcome studies and trials at Boston Children's Hospital.

The core provides ongoing comprehensive enrollment of patients with neurological disease into a standardized phenotype database and bio-specimen repository. Investigator time and resources are saved as the core provides patient populations at the outset of a research project and utilizes a common IRB protocol. These data and samples are available to residents and other researchers who propose translational and clinical studies.
