I have been extremely fortunate to be a member of the radiology department at Boston Children’s Hospital for more than 20 years. When I arrived as a pediatric radiology fellow in 1994, I immediately knew that this is where I wanted to build my career. In the decades since, I have become focused on imaging musculoskeletal and oncologic disorders affecting children. Many of these conditions create long-term disabilities and quality of life issues. By providing the highest quality imaging services to our patients, I am able to help my clinical colleagues design specific and effective treatment. In 2008, I became the Clinical Vice Chair of the radiology department. This position allows me to impact operational issues geared toward improving the overall effectiveness of the department and, ultimately, the patient experience.
