For Medical Professionals
Residency
The pediatric training programs at Boston Children's Hospital have long been a top choice for the nation's finest future pediatricians. Each year, approximately 450 postgraduate students spend at least a portion of their residencies at Children's. The residents are graduates from the leading medical schools in the U.S. and abroad. Some train at Children's for the full three years; others include Children's as a portion of their residency.
The Children's pediatric medicine residency program merged in 1995 with the pediatric residency program at Boston Medical Center to form the Boston Combined Residency Program in Pediatrics, the first joint pediatric training program between two medical schools. The program is already drawing the nation's brightest medical school graduates who wish to specialize in pediatrics.
