Your first appointment
Your first appointment is always with the International Center. We ask that, whenever possible, you schedule your first appointment with the International Center at least one day before any physician visit or scheduled procedures.
Upon arrival at Children's Hospital Boston, please proceed directly to the International Center office located in the Pavilion Building, Room 119. The International Center will be your primary contact throughout your stay in Boston.
Your International Center Team
- Your family will be assigned a patient representative and a designated financial counselor who will work together with you to ensure that your child and family receive the best care and service possible.

Your family's patient representative and designated financial counselor will review with you your child's appointment, verify all financial information, provide an orientation of Children's Hospital Boston, and answer any questions you may have.
What to Bring

Passports of both the patient and legal guardian(s) accompanying the patient
The International Center must make photocopies of the front page, visa, 1-94 document and US entry stamp. They will also note the length of stay authorized by the entry stamp and discuss how to extend the visa if need be. A visa extension may be necessary if the patient requires additional treatment. - Any forms or supplemental paperwork provided by your doctor.

Coordinated Care
As your child progresses through the evaluation and treatment process, all additional Physician appointments, outpatient visits or hospital admissions will be coordinated through your representatives in the International Center. We also will be happy to answer questions about how to make the most of your stay in Boston. In addition, if you have any concerns about your child's diagnosis or treatment, we can help resolve them.
The staff of the International Center is committed to making your stay at Children's as pleasurable and productive as possible. We are dedicated to taking care of the details, so that you and your child can focus on getting better.
The International Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. On weekends and after normal business hours, there is a dedicated voice mail system. This line is always checked the following business day.
