International Health Services
We are pleased that you have chosen Boston Children's Hospital for your child's medical care. Our physicians and nurses have cared for more than 1,000 children from 100 countries. Because we see so many patients from outside the United States, we strive to meet the needs and requests of each individual family.
The International Center coordinates all medical services and accomodations for international patients. Our goal is to serve as the single point of contact and resource for families, foreign providers, payers and other international organizations.

We provide the following support services free of charge:
Transportation and Accomodations:
- Flight rescheduling for medically related changes
- Assistance with visa letters
- Assistance with accomodations
- Assistance with airport transportation
Connections:
- Assignment of a patient case coordinator
- Facilitation of communication with your child's referring physician
- Case management for patients
- Interpreter services for medical encounters
- Helping patients identify appropriate services and physicians
- Welcome and exit interviews

- Clinical summary overviews (plan of care)
- Pricing estimates
- Assistance with discharge planning and outside vendor
- Consolidated billing
- Weekly medical updates
- Expedited appointments
