Barry D. Kussman, MBBCh, FFA (SA)

Dr. Kussman received his undergraduate medical degree and anesthesiology training in South Africa, and subsequently completed Fellowships in Pediatric Anesthesia at Childrens Hospital Boston and in Cardiac Anesthesia at the Beth Israel Hospital, Boston.

Dr. Kussman has been at Childrens Hospital Boston for 11 years. His clinical focus is the perioperative care of infants, children and adults with congenital heart disease, and patients with congenital heart disease undergoing non-cardiac surgery.

His major research interest is central nervous system monitoring during pediatric cardiac surgery.

Research Interests: Cardiac Anesthesia, Central Nervous System Monitoring
