General Pediatrics
The Division of General Pediatrics sponsors research activities through the Primary Care Clinic. Through this clinic, the Young Parents Program team follows a longstanding cohort of teen aged mothers and fathers and their babies. Many members of the Division are engaged in developing systems of care for Children with Special Health Care Needs and scrutinizing each system to ensure its feasibilty, applicabilty and replicabilty as well as its financial viability.

The Proposal Initiation Form should be completed at least 8 weeks prior to an internal or external grant proposal deadline (exceptions can be made by the Division Research Director). After you complete the form, the Division Grants Manager and Research Director will set up a pre-proposal meeting to discuss the proposal timeline and budget, the materials and forms that are needed, and the ways in which the Division might support the proposal process.
The Research Project Initiation Form should be completed for all non-grant funded projects in the Division that have not yet been initiated, prior to CHB Institutional Review Board (IRB) submission. This information will help with Division research activities such as future planning (e.g., for research support and IRB applications), and with linkage of researchers to each other.
