Orthopedic Clinical Effectiveness Research Center Research | Overview

 

The Clinical Effectiveness Research Center (CERC) was established by the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department to further its goals of improving the quality of life for children with musculoskeletal disorders.

This collaborative clinical research program is unique in the nation and plays an instrumental role in establishing, for the first time, evidence based standards of care for pediatric orthopaedic patients throughout the world.

Applying advanced epidemiological methods, CERC carries out a diverse, collaborative program of clinical research that will provide answers to the most pressing questions in pediatric orthopedics.

In 2019, our clinical and research staff authored 183 papers in peer review publications, contributed to many books and book chapters, and presented frequently at national meetings.
