The prevalence of obesity is rising at alarming rates in our nation, even in our children. Yet, we still do not understand how, or even if, obesity causes the many disorders associated with it. The mission of the Biddinger Laboratory is to define the molecular chain of events which link obesity, cardiovascular disease, fatty liver disease and gallstones, leading to more effective prevention and treatment of these disorders.
