Researcher | Research Background

Dr. Reena Ghosh is a pediatric cardiologist with expertise in the clinical application of 3D visualization techniques (3d printing, digital modeling and virtual reality) for procedural planning of complex cardiothoracic surgeries, interventional cardiac catheterization and device fit-testing.

Dr. Ghosh is currently a physician scientist in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Boston Children's Hospital and an Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Her primary clinical and research efforts focus on the use of CT-derived modeling for qualitative and quantitative analysis of pediatric mitral valves. In addition, as a cardiologist within the cardiac surgery department, Dr. Ghosh promotes multidisciplinary collaboration to facilitate clinical translation of novel imaging and modeling techniques for patient-specific procedural planning.
