Rachel Stafford

Rachel is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who joined Needham Pediatrics in 2022. Rachel’s role is to provide assessment and counseling services for Needham Pediatrics patients who are looking for short term behavioral health interventions. If a patient will require more intensive, longer-term, or specialized therapy, Rachel will help arrange transition to the appropriate mental health professionals in the community. Rachel enjoys working with children of all ages and likes to incorporate solution focused and strength based modalities in her work. She is a trauma informed clinician and uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) often.

Rachel received her BA in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her Masters in Social Work from Boston University. She has prior experience working with children and families in their homes as a therapeutic mentor and as a residential clinician at the Walker School.
