What is anticoagulation?
Many people who have been treated for heart disease are at risk for blood clots. To address this problem, patients are often put on a program or “regimen” involving medications that prevent blood clots. Called “anticoagulation,” these drugs not only make blood clots less likely to develop, they help minimize a blood clot’s growth
