As the Executive Director for the Department Izabela integrates the practices and the priorities of the anesthesia department into the larger mission of the BCH. A highly effective healthcare leader with clinical and administrative experience. Izabela has a reputation for integrity, credibility, and talent for organizational development and innovative solutions. A committed mentor who effectively identifies talented individuals and fosters their career growth. Extensive clinical background with unique ability to understand quality, research and safety issues in the complex clinical environment of a major academic medical center. Izabela’s activities represent innovation and advancement in three distinct areas: Operations, Quality Improvement, Research. Founder and Director of the Pediatric Clinical and Research Internship (PACaRI) and Pediatric Anesthesia Research center (PARC).
Amanda Baier, MPH
PACaRI Program Manager
Amanda joined Boston Children’s as a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Department of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine in November of 2013, shortly after receiving her MPH in Health Policy from The George Washington University School of Public Health. In addition to managing the Pediatric Anesthesia Clinical and Research Internship Program, she also coordinates the Department’s Quality Improvement Program, focusing on enhancing patient safety, improving outcomes, while increasing practice efficiency and efficacy.
