Clas Linnman presented his work on PET imaging of chronic pain at the 2nd International Conference on Molecular Imaging in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Laura Simons was a symposium speaker at the America Pain Society meeting in Tampa, FL.

Clas Linnman received funding from Wings for Life – Spinal Cord Research Foundation on "PET-MRI imaging of Microglia and Neuropathic pain after Spinal Cord Injury.

Laura Simons gave a talk on pain acceptance in children and adolescents with chronic pain at the Society of Pediatric Psychology Annual Conference in Philadelphia, PA.

June 2013

Laura Simons presented her work on fear of pain in children and promoting psychological flexibility in parents of adolescents with chronic pain at workshops in the 9th annual International Symposium on Pediatric Pain in Stockholm, Sweden.

Dusica Bajic's article "Periaqueductal gray neuroplasticity following chronic morphine varies with age: Role of oxidative stress" in the journal Neuroscience was selected as the featured article of the month in the Anesthesia Library.

David Borsook appeared on the Charlie Rose show on 11/23 to discuss pain research with other notable scientists.

Nasim Maleki has been awarded the 2013 Seymour Diamond, M.D. Lectureship" by the National Headache Foundation. She was first author of the article "Her Versus His Migraine: Multiple Sex Differences in Brain Function and Structure", which has been selected as the best headache article of 2012. Congratulations to Nasim and her co-authors Clas Linnman, Jennifer Brawn, Rami Burstein, Lino Becerra, and David Borsook.

Eric Moulton has been awarded the "Outstanding Early Career Investigator Award 2012" from the Division of Clinical Neuroscience and Behavioral Research at the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

Laura Simons received the "Routh Early Career Award in Pediatric Psychology 2012" from the American Psychological Association.
