After graduating from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Dawn Maczynski returned home to complete her residency training at Tufts Medical Center in the Floating Hospital for Children. She was privileged to be selected to serve as Chief Resident of Pediatrics at the Floating Hospital from 2004-2005, affording her the opportunity to supervise and teach medical students and residents. Dr. Maczynski then joined Pediatric Health Care Associates in 2005. With a background in teaching and coaching, as well as a Master’s degree in Secondary Education, she has unique insights into educational challenges her patients face. Volunteering in her sons’ schools to help with programs such as Disability Awareness Starts Here (DASH), as well as G.E.O Day and Tasty Tuesday, which promote healthy eating, allows her to use some of her skills as a pediatrician to serve her community.

I enjoy watching children and families grow. The relationships I have been able to form in primary care pediatrics are very rewarding. Being able to help my patients through difficult times and then to see them flourish and mature into adulthood makes primary care pediatrics a gratifying profession.
