Eelam A. Adil | Professional History

Eelam Adil, MD, MBA completed her Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery residency training at Pennsylvania State University. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She was invited to join the faculty following fellowship training.

Dr. Adil cares for children with a wide variety of otolaryngic conditions ranging from recurrent acute otitis media to cystic fibrosis associated rhinosinusitis. Her clinical and research interest is pediatric rhinology, which is an emerging field in otolaryngology. She developed and co-directs the multidisciplinary sinonasal disorder clinic, which allows patients to undergo a complete otolaryngology and allergy evaluation, allergy testing, and thorough nasal/nasopharyngeal endoscopy in one setting.

Dr. Adil is active academically. She currently serves as an active member of both the education and research committees of the Department of Otolaryngology and Communication Enhancement at Boston Children’s Hospital. At the national and international level, Dr. Adil is a member of numerous otolaryngology societies and serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for several high impact journals. She has published 45 peer reviewed manuscripts and 16 reviews/book chapters. Her research has been presented nationally and internationally. Recently, her research and reviewer skills have been granted awards at the national level.
