With fall right around the corner, we are in the process of finalizing our office plans for Flu Shot Clinics for this respiratory season.
This year, like every year, we recommend that every patients (older than 6 months of age) receive their annual Flu Shot. Please note that, while Flu Shots are never 100% effective, the data are very strong that they save lives, and that this year, approximately twice as many pediatric deaths were reported from the Flu as have been reported from COVID.*
Please be on the look-out for our announcement in the next few weeks regarding the timing and locations of our Flu Shot Clinics. We will be communicating through e-mails and MyChart messages.

*Last year, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics, the United States reported 179 pediatric deaths from the Flu. In comparison, as of August 6th, there were only 90 pediatric deaths reported from COVID-19.
