Mia Grossman | Professional History

Mia grew up in the Greater Boston area, and is a graduate of Syracuse University and Emerson College. She completed her post-graduate clinical fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, and has continued her career here since. Her principal clinical responsibilities include diagnostic clinical feeding evaluations, modified barium swallow studies, and feeding therapy. Mia recently became a Certified Lactation Consultant in an effort to continue to safely support breast feeding mothers and children. Mia is also a provider within the multidisciplinary Growth and Nutrition Program, and Down Syndrome Program. She has clinical experience and interest in a diverse population of patients.

I am dedicated to providing a family-centered, individualistic approach to treating patients with dysphagia. I understand the complex psychosocial impact on a family when treating a child with feeding difficulties. I believe in honoring the cultural and social values of my patients, and supporting families by meeting their needs within an inclusive and safe environment.
