Christine Salinas | Professional History
Dr. Salinas is Instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and neuropsychologist at Boston Children’s Hospital Epilepsy Division. Dr. Salinas completed a Doctorate of Psychology at the Florida Institute of Technology, a Pre-Doctoral Internship in Neuropsychology at Emory University School of Medicine and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at the Florida Hospital for Children. Prior to her current appointment, she developed the pediatric epilepsy neuropsychology program at Florida Hospital Epilepsy Center in 2011, served adult Spanish speaking surgical candidates, and directed the epilepsy neuropsychology externship. She was Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at University of Central Florida and holds faculty appointment at Florida Institute of Technology. Dr. Salinas has first or co-authorship on 16 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, as well as 13 invited national and international presentations. She has projects underway related to executive functioning in pediatric epilepsy; language mapping, and cultural neuropsychology. Her current research interests broadly focus on the evaluation of language and memory functions using imaging technologies such as fMRI. She is Chair of the Hispanic Neuropsychological Society Mentoring & Education Committee and Member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology Diversity Committee.
