Chelsey Bovenschen | Professional History
Dr. Bovenschen, or "Dr Chelsey" as she is known to her patients, hails from Colorado where she completed medical school at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating from medical school, she followed in the footsteps of her grandfather and moved East to complete her pediatric residency training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Following completion of her residency, Dr Bovenschen and her husband moved to rural Colorado where she practiced full-scope pediatrics in the hospital and in the clinic. In 2022, Dr Bovenschen and her husband moved back to New England where she joined Pediatric Health Care Associates.
Dr Bovenschen's clinical interests include working with medically complex children, as well as adolescent mental and sexual health. She provides specific adolescent services including Nexplanon placement for birth control and accutane for severe acne. Dr Bovenschen practices in the Pediatric Health Care Associates Melrose and Peabody offices
