Miguel Gonzalez | Professional History
Miguel is a 2012 graduate of Endicott College with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. His time at Endicott included interning as a coach for the softball team in addition to providing coverage for all varsity teams. In 2013, Miguel graduated with a master’s degree from Austin Peay State University in health and human performance, where he then worked as the head athletic trainer at Montgomery Central High School.
Before joining The Micheli Center, Miguel spent 3 years as an assistant athletic trainer at Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he was primarily responsible for the women’s soccer, men’s basketball, men’s volleyball, and baseball teams. Prior to Wentworth, he was the Head Athletic Trainer for the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League for the 2015-2016 season. In 2015, he was an assistant athletic trainer within the Boston Red Sox organization at the AAA affiliate Pawtucket Red Sox. He provided medical coverage for all practices and games during spring training and the regular season as well as assisted the strength and conditioning staff with the development of programs. Previously, he was an athletic trainer at the Dexter Southfield School from 2013-2015 working with all middle and high school sports. Miguel currently plays semi-pro baseball and enjoys playing recreational soccer and working out in his spare time.
