Elizabeth Blume

Elizabeth Blume's research is focused on the treatment of end-stage heart disease and heart transplantation in pediatric patients. Her research interests include mechanical support devices to improve bridging children to heart transplant and sequelae and quality of life in pediatric heart-transplant recipients. She is particularly interested in the family dynamic, family-physician communication, and the role of the primary care physician in improving treatment compliance and long-term outcomes.
