Duties
- Create a welcoming atmosphere at the main entrance of the hospital
- Provide wayfinding assistance to patients and families throughout the hospital
- Deliver items to patients and families throughout the hospital
Requirements
- At least 18 years old and graduated from high school

- Available to attend a Zoom interview
- Available to start in February 2025 and continue for the year commitment

Minimum commitment
- One set four-hour shift per week for one calendar year (February 2025-February 2026)
- This timeline includes volunteering during the summer months of 2025. Please keep in mind that we ask volunteers to maintain a weekday, daytime volunteer shift throughout the calendar year.

Clinic volunteer
This opportunity is available to volunteers at Boston Children’s Waltham, located at 9 Hope Ave., Waltham, Mass.
Duties
- Interact with patients and families: play games, read, and engage in basic art projects.
- Create an art project of the day to engage families during volunteer shifts.
- Help to organize and provide a safe, clean environment while assisting with toy washing.
- Assist the supervisor with any other needs, such as programming or preparing materials for patients and families.

Seacrest Studios volunteer
Boston Children’s Hospital, main campus
Duties
- Assist in Seacrest Studios, primarily during video gaming programming on Fridays, but also during other live programs (such as game shows, special guest visits, and more)
- Delivering gaming devices to patient rooms throughout the hospital
- Introducing Seacrest Studios programming to families who might not be familiar with it and explaining the current activity
- Troubleshooting & providing instruction to families who need support operating video gaming devices, either in person or over the phone. Mainly utilizing the Nintendo Switch but could also include the following systems: PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series S, Wii U and Wii, and iPads
- Welcome patients and families to Seacrest Studios and help to maintain a safe and clean space
- Assisting supervisors with any other needs, such as programming or program preparation
Requirements
- At least 18 years old and graduated from high school

- Available to attend a Zoom interview
- Available to start in late January/early February and continue for the year commitment
Current volunteer needs
- Fridays, for a four-hour time block between 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Minimum commitment
- One set three- to four-hour shift per week for one calendar year (January 2025 to January 2026).
