Khanh Nguyen MD has become the new Chief of Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery Program at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Dr. Nguyen was attracted by the comprehensive program in cardiovascular medicine developed by BCHP cardiologists and allied staff at MFCH. And by the opportunity to work with a large network of children’s healthcare providers that BCHP has created.
“I look forward to bringing new approaches to heart surgery in children to the patients and families of the Hudson Valley, New Jersey and Connecticut served by the BCHP network,” says Dr. Nguyen. “I also anticipate close collaboration with our colleagues in Cardiovascular Surgery and Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital to push the envelope with new techniques benefitting our patients.”
“Dr. Nguyen has been one of the nation’s foremost practitioners in the “Fast Track’ approach for congenital open heart surgery,” according to Michael Gewitz, MD, Vice President of BCHP and its Chief of Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Gewitz is also Physician-in-Chief at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.

New Multispecialty Office!
BCHP is excited to announce the opening of our new multispecialty office on the campus of Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital (MHR), located at 1 Webster Avenue, Suite 300 in Poughkeepsie, NY.
At this location our pediatric services include nephrology, hematology/oncology, pulmonology, allergy, cardiology, rheumatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and our neonatal follow-up program.
