Warning

An important message to our patients and their caregivers.

We are here for you. Read more

The Contact Lens Service at Boston Children's Hospital provides complete contact lens care for infants and children. The program offers fitting of contact lenses and follow-up care for therapeutic and cosmetic needs.

Our pediatric optometrists and clinician team happily take the time to teach parents and children how to wear and handle their lenses. New and replacement lenses, as well as materials required for their care, can also be purchased here.

Our expertise

  • At Boston Children’s, we specialize in providing specialty fit contact lenses for newborns and infants who have had cataracts removed, children with keratakonus, astigmatism, and other conditions.
  • We also provide a special contact lens that blocks light, which can be used in lieu of an adhesive patch in patching therapy.
  • Patients are referred by clinicians both inside and outside of Children's.
