Youth Advisory Group Research | Overview

The Youth Advisory Group is a group comprised of physicians, clinical researchers, and patients from the AYAM clinic at Boston Children’s Hospital, with the mission to amplify the voices of young people in shaping research focused on adolescent and young adult health. Members of the YAG play a vital role in the research process by providing feedback on research materials, visuals, and other projects. The YAG additionally works together to find ways to disseminate insights and findings from research to adolescent patients and families. The Youth Advisory Group exemplifies a commitment to actively involve young people in shaping impactful research.

  • Curating and updating content for a rack presenting research in the clinic, ensuring accurate and current information on research projects.
  • Creating and editing flyers advertising opportunities for medical research within the Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine division.
  • Updating signage for research rack in the clinic to direct patients toward it and increase engagement.
  • Organizing Research Awareness Week at Boston Children's Hospital’s AYAM, showcasing clinic research to patients and families.
