Developmental Medicine Research | Overview
Here in the Division of Developmental Medicine, our world class team of experts is investigating many important questions related to brain and behavior development in infants, children, and adolescents. We have brought together top researchers in fields ranging from cognitive neuroscience, to psychology, to education, providing us with a unique and comprehensive perspective. Together, we aim to shed light on the many factors that impact how children develop and, with the knowledge that we gain, to better support children as they grow. From the early identification of autism, to better diagnostic tools for ADHD, to improved supports for teens dealing with substance abuse, we are working to drive the science forward and deliver a brighter future to children with developmental and behavioral challenges, not just here at Boston Children’s, but everywhere.
Our research initiatives encompass a wide range of studies for children of all ages, from infancy through adolescence. There are many opportunities for families to participate.
