Growing up, Dr. Mark Gorman was inspired to learn more about how the brain works from his time volunteering at camps for children and adults with developmental disabilities. After completing medical school and specialized fellowships and residencies, Dr. Gorman became one of the first physicians nationwide with formal training in both pediatric neurology and multiple sclerosis (MS).

He now specializes treating autoimmune conditions of the brain and spinal cord in children and adolescents, like MS, opsoclonus myoclonus syndrome (OMS), autoimmune encephalitis, central nervous system vasculitis, and more. Watch as Dr. Gorman shares his journey as both a neuroimmunologist and the director of the Neuroimmunology Center at Boston Children’s.
