Our research and innovation

At Boston Children’s Hospital, our researchers are committed to developing new treatments for patients with end-stage renal disease, including more effective medications and new approaches to treating polycystic kidney disease.

Scientists in our Kidney Transplant Program are working to improve medications used after transplant, with the goal of improving transplant outcomes and reducing unwanted side effects and complications.

Additional information about our research is available on our research web site, including a list of transplant studies currently enrolling eligible patients.

Transplantation Research Center (TRC)

Our Transplantation Research Center (TRC), affiliated with nearby Brigham and Women’s Hospital, provides an environment for scientists and physicians from both institutions to collaborate in matters related to transplantation and immunology.

The TRC is intended to share new knowledge, and to speed results gained from research into innovative and improved approaches to caring for kids who need transplant.
