Employee Lactation Support Program | Overview

The Employee Lactation Support Program is coordinated by the hospital’s lactation specialists to help families ease the transition back to employment while continuing to breastfeed their young infants after their maternity leave has ended. Lactation specialists offer informative classes and individual consultation for breastfeeding difficulties, as well as telephone and email support.

Going back to work? Learn about how to keep breastfeeding

Join us for an informative session that includes the opportunity to evaluate a variety of breast pump equipment. This class is recommended during the last trimester of pregnancy or during maternity leave prior to return to work. Parents already back to work and pumping are always welcome.

The class is offered from 1 to 2 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month via Zoom. Staff can register in NetLearning. Please email kimberly.barbas@childrens.harvard.edu for additional information. Drop-ins are welcome.

Visit the Lactation Support Program webpage on web2 for current information and locations of lactation rooms.
